Pediatric Health and Diseases Specialist Dr. Tahir Aydın was born in 1991 in Bursa. After completing his high school education at Bursa Ali Osman Sönmez Science High School, he began his medical education in 2009 at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Throughout his medical training, Dr. Tahir Aydın took part in various sports activities and social projects, and he was awarded the University Sports Achievement Award before earning the title of Medical Doctor.
He began his compulsory service at Bursa Keles District Hospital in his hometown. After passing the Medical Specialization Examination, he started his residency in the Department of Pediatrics at Health Sciences University Haseki Training and Research Hospital. During his residency, he was elected as the Internal Sciences Resident Representative and attended the Medical Specialization Training Board meetings for one year. As a result of his efforts, he was awarded a Certificate of Achievement by the Governorship of Fatih.
After completing his residency, Dr. Tahir Aydın was appointed to Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital to fulfill his compulsory service as a Pediatric Specialist. During his service, he rotated through several departments and was later reassigned within the institution to Haseki Training and Research Hospital, where he had completed his residency, this time as a Specialist Physician.
For two years, he was responsible for the follow-up of the Neonatal Outpatient Clinic and the Newborn Room. During this period, Dr. Tahir Aydın supervised three medical specialization theses and one nursing master’s thesis, presented more than ten academic research papers at medical congresses, and contributed to book chapters and review articles.
He authored a TÜBİTAK 1812 R&D Project, through which he received a grant of 900,000 TL and secured 3% partnership support from the TÜBİTAK BİGG Fund, leading to the establishment of Pediascop Health Inc.
He continues his medical device development activities at Teknopol Istanbul, while maintaining his professional career at Atlas University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
